I just want to share the latest edition of Selecta Cornetto ice cream cone. They now have a White Chocolate variant. I bought my cone from 7-11. Wee! :)
As a lover of white chocolate, this Cornetto version didn't fail my expectations. While its toppings are made of white chocolate sprinkles and melted white chocolate, the ice cream didn't come off as too sweet. If it's vanilla ice cream, then it should be the reason why it isn't too sweet. But if it is white chocolate, they did an uber great job by not exaggerating the taste. I was enjoying the ice cream so much, I just found myself at the end of the cone. And as the traditional Cornetto has a chocolate tip, this has white chocolate tip. :)
I enjoyed eating my Selecta Cornetto white chocolate ice cream cone. Hope you do too. :)

My Thoughts on Valentine's Day
Ok, so I am not exactly "independent" in the sense of the word.. but Valentine's day seems to be a never-ending hulabaloo whenever we talk of having a "valentine." It depresses some that they don't have someone to spend V-day with. Others are hyped up to make it the perfect valentines date.
My thoughts on this? Valentine's day is just another day. Sure there's this particular day we can be more generous, more creative, more cheesy. But it shouldn't be just for one day. If the next day, you go back to your usual obnoxious selves, then there's no point wasting money, energy and resources in something that would last for only a day. Planning V-day should first and foremost be, from the heart. Not something superficial you can brag to you friends, or make a nice story to tell your kids when you're older, or pictures you can post on Facebook after the date. The moment should be full of love, and not just spending it together because it's Valentine's day.
But, as cliche as it seems, everyday SHOULD really be Valentine's day. You don't wait for V-day to buy something special for your significant other. You can plan a special dinner (doesn't have to be in a 5-star hotel or a posh resto) even at home. Homecooked meals or have your favorite food from your favorite food place delivered and enjoy it over candlelight. Write your sweetheart a love poem or sonnet, or a love letter if you're out of rhyming words. Send a sweet SMS message. Call to say you're thinking about your partner.
And for those who will be spending V-day alone, do not fear. There are a multitude of people (me included) with the same fate. No need to sulk at home and torture yourself watching those cheesy TV programs. Go out and celebrate independence. Whether it's a nice dinner, bar hopping, charity work, strolling on a park, do it with people who will make you feel good. Love isn't just for couples, y'know.
Which brings me to my ultimate point. Express your love wholeheartedly, whether to your family, significant others, or friends even. When was the last time you actually said "I love you" to your mom and dad? Happy heart's day, everyone. <3

Happy 2012!
I was supposed to start blogging yesterday, January 1, but my two adorable nieces, Nicco and Nikki came to the house late last night and ate up all my time before going to sleep. LOL! But it's ok. I super love getting surprise visits from them. :-)
Anyway, so here's my third attempt at blogging. You'll read anything and everything from my page so feel free to suggest any topic as you wish. It's gonna be one crazy blog. ;)
With the coming of the new year, I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of experiences, happenings and people to meet. I am excited to face all of them. (Even my age haha!)
So 2012, I challenge you - bring it on! Happy New Year to one and all! :)
